"Eternal tourists of ourselves, there is no landscape but what we are. We possess nothing, for we don’t even possess ourselves. We have nothing because we are nothing. What hand will I reach out, and to what universe? The universe isn’t mine: it’s me."

"And I, infinitesimal being,
drunk with the great starry
likeness, image of
I felt myself a pure part
of the abyss,
I wheeled with the stars,
my heart broke loose on the wind."

Don’t get me wrong, the new iPhones look interesting. But this is an excellent idea for the future of cellphones.
(by Dave Hakkens)
This is awesome and all, but I don’t see it happening. There is a reason why electronics are not designed to last. It is called planned obsolescence. There is a reason why Apple comes out with a new phone every year, perceived obsolescence. Replacing phones or whatever technology every year or two is more money for them. It is in their economic interest.
great point. but don’t you think this is an idea that is at least worth rooting for? For the sake of fair and healthy economic competition, Apple NEEDS to see a real contender for high quality phones step up the game. it’s the only way we’ll force the big guys to amp up the technology rather than “save it up” like apple does
I’d totally be behind a phone like this, but that’s not my point. Apple already has competition in the form of Samsung and HTC and the Android and Windows OS. Samsung actually outsells Apple on an international scale. There are “high quality” Android phones just as there are supposed “high quality” iPhones.
